How to Measure For Netting

What size netting do I need?

The size netting you need is simple to determine but very important to do before purchasing netting. Too long is always better than too short.

Accurately calculating the size you need can save time, frustration and money.

Fruit Tree Netting Example:

8′ tall tree that is 7′ wide at its widest section

((8′ + 7′) x 2′) by ((8′ + 7′) x 2′)
(15″ x 2′) by (15″ x 2′)

30′ x 30′ netting required

Choose a width equal or greater than what you need or purchase two and sew together.
(Fishing line is recommended.)

Hoop Tunnel Netting Example:

4′ tall and 10′ long Hoop Tunnel structure

((4’+4′) x 1.5) by ((4’x2) + 10′)
(8′ x 1.5′) by (8′ + 10′)

12′ x 18′ netting required

Garden Enclosure Netting Example:

Garden Netting Enclosure that is 80′ long, 30′ wide and 8′ tall

(8′ + 30′ + 8′ ) by (8′ + 80′ + 8′)

46’ x 96′ netting required
