Our No-Weed Plus Landscape Fabric is our top-of-the-line non-woven landscape fabric option for home gardening, landscaping, and commercial projects.
Spun-bonded polypropylene non-woven fabric is easily installed to help prevent weeds for a Low Maintenance Garden. Allows air, water, and nutrients to pass through to the roots for healthier plants, unlike conventional plastics. Other uses include separating of aggregates from soil contamination in drainage systems. Non-Woven Landscape Fabric must be covered with at least 3″ (8cm) of mulch or aggregate to guard against degradation.
For weed suppression where fabric may be exposed to sunlight, we suggest our Commercial Woven Ground Cover. For weed control on slopes, as well as increased barrier strength and water permeability, we recommend our Contractor 20-Year Landscape Fabric.
Use No-Weed Plus Landscape Fabric for:
Landscaping
Remove existing debris and weeds. For existing beds, unroll the fabric and cut an “X” where each plant fits. Gently work the fabric down to the plant base and snug the cut flaps to the stem.
For larger plants, slit the fabric from the edge to the “X” and slide fabric around the stem. For new beds, unroll the fabric and cut an “X” where each hole is to be dug, and plant through. Overlap seams by at least 6″ (15cm).
Construction jobs
For retaining walls and drainage, temporarily fasten one fabric edge overlapping the top of the wall so the middle of the fabric lays loosely at the wall base. Make a U-shaped envelope with the fabric and fill with drainage aggregate, bringing the loose edge of the fabric up to the top of the wall. Overlap first edge by 1′ (.3m) minimum. This will help prevent any silt from contaminating the drain or leaching through the wall.
For soil separation, remove debris from area, lay down fabric, overlapping edges by a 6″ (15cm) minimum, and cover with layer of aggregate.
Be sure to cover fabric with a minimum of 3″ (8 cm) of mulch or aggregate to protect from the sun’s damaging rays.
