Woven Landscape Fabric is a standard quality product synonymous with professional landscaping. Made from woven polypropylene and needle-punched with polypropylene fibers to allow better water permeability and material holding ability. The polypropylene “cap” also helps prevent fraying when cut.
Use Woven Landscape Fabric for:
Remove existing debris and weeds. For existing beds, unroll the fabric and cut an X where each plant fits. Gently work the fabric down to the plant base and snug the cut flaps to the stem. For larger plants, slit the fabric from the edge to the X and slide fabric around the stem. For new beds, unroll the fabric and cut an X where each hole is to be dug, and plant through. Overlap seams by at least 6″ (15cm).
For retaining walls and drainage, temporarily fasten one edge of the Landscape Fabric
overlapping the top of the wall. The middle of the fabric should lay loosely at the wall base. Then make a “U” shaped envelope with the fabric. Fill with drainage aggregate, bringing the loose edge of the fabric up to the top of the wall. Overlap the first edge by one foot minimum. This will help prevent any silt from contaminating the drain or leaching through the wall.
For soil separation, remove debris from area, lay down fabric overlapping edges by a 6″ minimum, and cover with layer of aggregate.

** Commercial Landscape Fabric must be covered with at least 3 inches of mulch or aggregate to guard against degradation.
